Kahles [pronounced “Call Us”] was founded in 1898 and is the world’s oldest riflescope manufacturer. Kahles has been a pioneer in innovations to hunting optics. For example, in 1903 Kahles developed the first ballistic drop compensation for riflescopes. In 1949, Kahles developed one of the first variable power riflescopes. Kahles was also the first manufacturer to produce waterproof riflescopes in 1960, and the first to multi-coat all air-to-glass surfaces in 1973.
Kahles offers one of the brightest, highest contrast – and – sharpest views in sporting optics. On the 100th anniversary of the company Kahles released the Helia Compacts – a line of riflescopes with high optical performance and a wide field of view that led to wide acceptance by hunters around the world.
