LSI Announces the Release of the Puma Bounty Hunter (1/02/09)

Based on the gun that cowboy character Josh Randall carried in the 1950’s television series by the same name, Legacy Sports International announces the release of the Bounty Hunter Model 92 under their popular Puma brand. Manufactured in Italy by Chiappa Firerms,the Bounty Hunter is considered a handgun, not a rifle. It’s 12 inch barrel and 24 inch overall length make it ideal as a pack gun or a nostalgia collectible. Offered as a takedown model, it also features a large, ¾ loop lever and the same beautiful wood and metal finish as the new line of full sized Model 92’s. Comes with a six (6) round tube magazine. Available in .45 Colt, .44-40 or .44 Magnum, this firearm is Federally Approved and imported as a handgun.

LSI Announces the Release of the Puma Westerner Handgun (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International, in the continuation of the expansion to their popular Puma line, announces the addition of a full line of Single Action Army (SAA) sixguns under the Puma banner for 2009. Named the Puma Westerner, these handguns are manufactured in Italy by the well known firearms reproduction maker, F.lli Pietta. These pistols are ready to take on the bad guys of Cowboy Action Shooting, or become a welcome sidearm for the rancher, camper or outdoor enthusiast. Available in .357 Magnum, .45 Colt and .44-40 Winchester pistol calibers, these handguns come with a variety of finishes and options. You can pack your Puma Westerner with color case hardened finish, nickel plating or in stainless steel. The case hardened style is available with either brass or steel backstrap and and both versions come with walnut, one piece grips. This finish is also available in a Birdshead grip configuration. The Nickel version comes with walnut grips as well, while the stainless version comes with white PVC grips that look and feel like ivory. Barrel lengths for all standard grip models are: 4.75”, 5.5” and 7.5” while the Birdshead model comes in 4.75” barrel length, only, and in .357 Magnum or .45 Colt calibers.

LSI Announces the Addition of the Citadel Model 1911 (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International announces the addition of a Model 1911 to their line, under their own trademark, CITADEL. Citadel M-1911’s are available in a full size model with 5” barrel and 8 round magazine, and a compact model with 3.5” barrel and 6 round magazine. Each model comes with two magazines and a hard, lockable carry case. Extra magazines will be available for each model.

LSI Announces the Addition of BUL Semi-Auto Handguns (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International announces the addition of BUL semi-auto handguns to their 2009 line! BUL semi-auto pistols are offered in the Cherokee full size and Cherokee Compact models. Both are short recoil operated, locked breech pistols that use a modified Browning-type lockup. These pistols are widely used by Israeli security agencies and foreign police and military spec-ops services.

LSI Announces the Addition of the Nighteater Spotting Scope (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International has just announced the addition of a spotting scope and tripod to their popular and award-winning line of Nikko Stirling optics. New for 2009 is their 20-60x85 Spotting Scope with Full Height Tripod. The Nighteater Spotting Scope is both powerful and compact. It is an ideal hunting accessory and an absolute necessity at the range. This scope features the same ETE coatings found on all Nighteater riflescopes. These coatings allow the hunter or spotter to see into shaded areas that are typical hiding spots for game. With a zoom lens from 12 to 24X, targets are easily identified. LSI Announces a New, Italian Source of Puma Model 92 Rifles (1/02/09)

Gene Lumsden, President and CEO of Legacy Sports International, LLC announces a new, Italian source of Puma Model 92 rifles as well as an expansion to the Puma line.

Legacy Sports, in conjuction with the legendary Italian manufacturer Chiappa Arms, is proud to offer an Italian-made M-92 for 2009 under the well-known PUMA® mark. The PUMA® name is a registered trademark of Legacy Sports International, and will continue to move forward in 2009 - and beyond. This new M-92 replica will surely become a favorite with hunters and Cowboy Action shooter, alike. All internal parts are CNC machined from solid steel - not stampings. All parts are interchangeable and all feature inch standard measurements instead of metrics. Every metal part is highly polished for smooth operation. Wood is high grade walnut with hand rubbed oil finish. Available in .357 magnum, .44 magnum, .44-40 and .45 Colt. Octagonal barrel rifles come in 20” and 24” barrel lengths, while round barrel carbines come in 20” barrel lengths with full length magazine tubes and saddle ring on the left side of the receiver. We’re also offering a 16” round barrel carbine with large loop lever and a Scout model with 20” round barrel and 2.5x32 extended eye relief Nikko Stirling® riflescope with rings included (Scouts are not available in .44-40).

LSI Announces the Addition of the Puma Model 1886 Rifle (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International proudly announces a Big Bore addition to their PUMA line of rifles for 2009. This new lever gun is a replica of the venerable Model 1886, and is reproduced with the highest of quality by Chiappa Arms of Italy. This is an addition to the Puma® lineup that will thrill big game hunters and Cowboy Long Range shooters alike! This reproduction of the John M. Browning improvement to the Winchester ‘73 is available in the powerful .45-70 Gov’t. caliber. Excellent for larger North American big game, this rifle is also a favorite of shooters that participate in Old West Long Range shooting matches. Available in 26” rifle or 22” carbine versions, both have color case hardened receivers and blued barrels.

LSI Announces the Addition of the Puma Model 1887 Shotgun (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International announces the addition of the Model 1887 shotgun to their line of PUMA Old West products. Designed by John Browning for Winchester Repeating Arms, the Model 1887 was considered the first successful repeating shotgun. Made by Chiappa Arms of Italy, this lever action shotgun is available in two barrel lengths - 22” and 28” - both with color case hardened finish. They are equipped with 5 shot magazines, these shotguns are fun and effective for use in the fiels as a hunting gun. In addition, we are offering a Fast Load version in 22’ barrel, only, that has been factory modified to accept two rounds through the breech - an ideal characteristic for Cowboy Action Shooting. The shotgun also employs a highly effective ejection system that removes spent rounds and rechambers a new, live round in a few seconds.

LSI Announces the Addition of the Puma .22LR Semi-Auto Rifle (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International announces a brand new concept for the Puma line! This new Italian-made compact .22 LR Semi-auto is only 33.5” overall length, with a 16” barrel length. Available with either a wood or synthetic stock, this new Puma also comes with a 50 round drum magazine for extended shooting. Of course, if you live in a more restrictive area, a 10 round stick magazine version will also be available in both wood and synthetic stock models. Also included in the package is a loading assist tool, to aid in recharging the magazine. This rifle, and extra magazines will be on sale for the Christmas season, 2008. LSI Announces the Addition of the Chuck Connors Commemorative Rifle (1/02/09)

Gene Lumsden, President and CEO of Legacy Sports International, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of the Chuck Connors Commemorative Rifle to Legacy’s Lever Action product offering. The Chuck Connors Commemorative, also known as “The Rifleman’s Rifle”, is being released to honor the 50th anniversary of the popular 1950’s television show. This rifle uses the same great Puma platform as our new, Italian M-92 – but features a large lever loop, color case hardening and the original .44-40 chambering, among other features. This commemorative rifle, made by Chiappa Firearms of Brescia, Italy, features great fit and finish and is carefully patterned after Chuck Connors’ rifle.

LSI Announces the Return of the Verona Shotgun (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International announces a New line of shotguns for 2009! New to Legacy Sports, but an old favorite to the shotgunning crowd is the Verona! We’re bringing back a classic name, and adding semi-autos to the line! Verona semi-auto shotguns will be available in 12 and 20 gauge, with either wood or synthetic stocks. Wood versions will be available in three receiver finishes: Blued, Nickel and Grey. All are inertia operated. Wood models come with 3” chambers; synthetic models come in either 3” or 3.5” chambers (12 ga., only).

Legacy Sports International has just announced the addition of a TRUE SLUG GUN to their popular and award-winning line of Escort shotguns. LSI Announces the Addition of Kings® Camo Patterns to their Escort Models (1/02/09)

Legacy Sports International has just announced the addition of Escort models that are fully camo dipped in a variety of Kings® camo patterns. Available in Desert, Woodlands and Snow Camo patterns, these synthetic stock models are still available in matte black with black chrome metal parts. All Escort Semi-autos have a new bottom feed that is easier to load and unload. This feed is similar to that used on an 1187. Look for the full lineup in our 2009 catalog. Pump models are also available in King’s Woodland camo as well as traditional blued/black polymer.
