Breda Shotguns (12/14/06) Legacy Sports International, LLC is now offering the fine line of Italian-made Breda shotguns here in the USA in several semi-automatic models. The Breda name is renowned for quality and craftsmanship, with over 100 years of fine firearms manufacturing. The Xanthos, Echo and Grizzly semi-automatic models feature inertia-operated mechanisms that provide flawless functioning. This system offers a noticeable reduction in recoil and is virtually maintenance free. With 4-round magazines, 3 inch magnum chambers (3.5” on the Grizzly), 28 inch barrels and 3 interchangeable choke tubes, these shotguns are ready for hunting or for clay bird shooting. The Xanthos model offers a combination of high quality walnut wood with a unique receiver treatment achieved through spark erosion engraving. Hand engraved details and hand-gilded figures on the receiver round out Xanthos’ elegant appearance.
Echo models come in blued, nickel and an outstanding bronze colored finish on their receivers. Receivers have a clean, yet modern engraving pattern that flows from the forearm checkering through a unique, fully checkered pistol grip. Both beauty and function describe these stocks. The Echo is available in one 20 gauge and three 12 gauge models. The Grizzly is capable of firing any 12 gauge round from 2.75” through 3.5” magnum with a wide variety of shot types, slugs and sabots. Its receiver is streamlined and lightweight – yet strong. The Grizzly comes with synthetic stock, available in either black or Advantage Timber™ camouflage. Metal parts on the black model are a matching matte black finish, while the camo model’s barrel, receiver and trigger group are also camouflaged.
Also offered is the Altair semi-automatic that provides a more traditional gas operated mechanism in a lightweight frame. The Altair is elegantly finished in oil rubbed walnut and blued barrel and receiver. All models are significantly lighter in weight than comparable, competitive shotguns. Escort Over/Under Shotguns (11/1/06) Legacy Sports International is pleased to announce a new Over/Under addition to their popular Escort line of shotguns for 2007! The new Escort Over/Under shotgun comes with selectable fire barrels operated by a left-right sliding switch built into the safety button. It is also equipped with a bronze front bead. Every Escort Over/Under comes with five removable choke tubes in Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full. The Diamond SAS is a compact, waterproof member of this line that adapts well to more demanding use. The Diamond SAS comes with a durable cover and Weaver style mounts. The cover automatically turns the sight on when removed, and off when it is replaced. Featuring Japanese optical technology, the Diamond SAS offers a light sensitive, self-adjusting holographic red dot and coated glass lens for optical clarity. Pointer Over/Under Shotguns (10/13/06) Legacy Sports International proudly announces a completely new and expanded line-up of Pointer shotguns from Italy for 2007! These new Pointer Over/Under shotguns come equipped with improved triggers, highly attractive wood and fine Italian checkering. They also come standard with barrel selectors and automatic ejectors. The new Pointers are available as Sporting/Field models in 12, 20, 28 and .410 gauges. The 12, 20 and 28 gauges offer multiple choke tubes in Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder, while the .410 gauge comes with fixed chokes in two models: Full/ Modified and Improved Cylinder/Modified.
